Well, we are getting very excited about the end of school over here! They have been having fun galore as summer approaches.
First off in the fun department was Cade's splash day. Luckily, it was on a Friday, so I got to go and watch. I took Cannon's swimsuit too, and that turned out to be a good thing because he wanted in on the fun and wasn't about to sit in the stroller!
Oh boy! Cade's teachers had no clue what they were in for with the waterslide! He just cruised up there and jumped off of it like they do on ours here at home. They weren't so comfortable with that!
After a couple of jumps, he got into a little trouble and was told he'd have to slide on his bottom like the other kids.
You can imagine how that went over....we moved on to the splash pools!
Cannon had a blast chasing his big brother and friends!
Next stop! Pre-K graduation!! Aren't they looking so adorable?
And this big boy is just the sweetest! When I was putting him to bed that night, he said, "Mommy, you looked so cute at my graduation!". I don't know what brought that on, but I'll take any compliment from my boys and that one melted me!
Carson and his Daddy before graduation. Daddy took us all out for a special lunch of Carson's choosing that day and he was so proud!
Oh! I was so emotional during this, and I don't know why!! I am so excited for Carson to be going to the big school, but I guess the end of preschool is kind of monumental. I was fighting back tears waiting on them to come in (the sappy music and slide show of pictures didn't help!).
Looking so handsome!Singing songs on stage for us.
And he is done! Officially promoted on to Kindergarten!
They had a reception afterwards and gave us all scrapbooks from the year, and yes, I cried looking at that too! I am going to have to toughen up....I have two more times to get through preschool graduation!
Carson also had a splash day, but much to his dismay, I had to miss that one. I just couldn't be out of work anymore. I hate to miss his special things, but sometimes that is the crappy part about being a working mom. No complaints though, I have amazing flexibility and get to do way more than a lot of people!
On a side note - a funny little story about the little toot! I had gone up to school on Friday for the "summer birthdays" celebration for Cade (he never gets a school bday since his in August). Afterwards, I went to find Carson. Well, Cannon was like a tornado in Carson's classroom! He grabbed a hermit crab cage that some kid had brought to show and share and was shaking it and walking with it!!! I was busy picking up books he swiped off the shelf and didn't see him going for the poor crab. THEN, we went out on the playground to find Carson and get out of there and he plopped himself down in a mudhole that was a good 4 inches deep with stagnent, stinky, muddy water. NICE. He was furious when I yanked him out of it and tried to throw himself down. I'm sure the teachers are impressed and can't wait to see him in the future!
Notice he now stacks things to get him up to higher ground. He's a climber!
Luckily, I had extra clothes after he pulled that stunt. We went on to chick-fil-a for lunch where he swiped Carson's icecream cone. I had gotten him a cup, but he MUST have whatever the older two are having. I should have known better! Matt and I just laugh and laugh at him lately. He has QUITE the personality!!
