Pumpkin Patch 2009

So, Matt was playing golf yesterday morning and I decided that the boys and I needed to get out and enjoy this awesome weather. I looked online and found a pumpkin patch that was pretty close to us and it opened at 10. It is actually a Christmas Tree Farm, but they switch to a pumpkin patch for part of the year....that should have been my first clue! Anyway, things started off nice and clean! I have learned my lesson and now take pictures before leaving of the boys when they are dressed cute. This was a near success!! Two out of three were looking at the camera and everyone is smiling, non cheesy smiles!

Then, off to the Christmas Tree Farm/Pumpkin Patch. They had several piles of pumpkins that you could take pictures on, but there were so many people, it was hard to corral three boys and get a picture without some mom or dad jumping around on the other side of the pile in your picture! This one is cute of Carson.

Cade was acting really sleepy and laying around some on the pumpkins. I figured it was because I had given him allergy medicine...turns out, nope, he was getting sick. Poor guy...we figured it out AFTER his t-ball game last night. He was laying around on the field, not running hard to the bases and we thought he was just being a toot. Not so much, he was feverish and feeling bad. Anyway, that said, he was a trooper, even if he looks less than thrilled in some of these pictures.King of the pumpkins!

Cannon was climbing all over the pumpkins and not into looking at the camera (or staying in his stroller...or cooperating in general, but that is how he rolls!). So stinkin' cute.
Then, we stopped off to check out a goat (because those go with pumpkin patches, RIGHT?) and pose for a pic in front of this little thing...and we ran into cousin Abby! Again, 3 out of 4 looking at me, sort of...success!
After that, we moved on to this big turkey to take pictures. Cade must have gotten a burst of energy!
Ahhh, three adorable little turkeys!
A miracle shot!
Then, we were off to the duck races.
Carson was really good and took great pride in beating Cade and I. We blew through a quick $20 in this little make-shift carnival area.
The, we stopped off at the pumpkins for one more try at a group photo. The boys are filthy, Cade was miserable and Cannon fell and hit his cheek on a pumpkin right after this. We were done!
See - it really is a Christmas Tree farm and says so right here on their ghost and pumpkin signs.
All in all, I was less than impressed with this place. However, it was a fun, close outing for us and the boys liked it! We have been so busy with baseball and such that I don't know if we'll make it out to Dewberry Farm this year, which makes me quite sad!
