First Day of School 2009

WOW!! Time has flown by!! Our big boy started Kindergarten yesterday!! Unbelievable!! We started the morning off by waking up Carson and they all had blueberry muffins (their FAVE) and fruit.
Cannon enjoyed breakfast too!!

Then, we moved outside to take the obligatory pics. That was short lived though because all of our neighbors were out waiting for the bus...chatting with them and running around like crazy was much more fun than my photo session!! They did take a few though. My BIG Kindergartener!!

Lovin' this backpack! He wanted to sleep in it the night before school started. We agreed to leave it in his room, but out of the bed. It is a beautiful, light up, GI Joe backpack and we were lucky enough to track down the matching lunchbox! My days of monogrammed cuteness are over, apparently.
Getting a hug from little brother, who is quite bummed that they are not at the same school...for the first time ever.
Cade started Pre-K at a new school and is just as excited about this milestone!
Cannon is quite excited here! I had to crop out Daddy, who was quite sweaty from the awful humidity.

After this, we all loaded up and headed off to school. I didn't put him on the bus the first day, even though he seemed totally fine with that idea!! I figured it would come out in therapy at some point in the future that his mother sent him off alone as a little kindergartener!! Anyway...we all drove him to school and I walked him in (or rather, he walked me in...he is much more thrilled about this milestone than I am!).He stopped for a quick picture in front of Mrs. Swackhamer's class.

And then he was off...and the tears started flowing from this Mommy! I did hold it together long enough that he didn't have to witness that!

I gathered myself, and then prepared to do the next drop off. Here is Mr. Cool cruising down the road to his new school...he has no clue what is about to happen to him!A quick pic of my little guys! I better not blink and then have these two starting Kindergarten. I'd like to savor these little years for as long as possible!More tears after this drop off! From both me and Cannon!! Cade did awesome though!! Walked right on in there like he was 12, put down his backpack and was off! Matt and I just started laughing...he's come a long way from that 2 year old that screamed every morning for weeks!

Then, we all survived the first day and Carson rode home on the bus! The little boys and I wait for him and get him off (luckily, it stops at our house). His bus driver is an older man and apparently tells them jokes all the way home. He gets off smiling and full of it! I'm not sure how either...it is crammed full of kids and no a/c!!

Despite the tears (by me), we are off to a great start!! Carson lucked out and got an awesome teacher!! She is just phenomenal. He is in HEAVEN and has told me both days that he wants to stay in Kindergarten forever!! I'd be okay with that!! ;-)

Cade's Special Day

Cade turned 4 on Tuesday and could not be prouder!! We had one busy day!!!
We started out with breakfast at the donut shop. He had a pink one with sprinkles!!
We then went and played up at the Y for a bit before heading over to Chuck E Cheese. They had a blast in there. I was a bit stressed with trying to keep up with all of them. That place is chaos!!

Then, I dropped the big boys off at the movies with Daddy while Cannon went home to nap. They saw G Force and had a blast!!
We opened presents!! He got a new glove and was quite happy about that!! Cade is going to play Fall Ball this year.

We then went out to dinnner at Rico's. Cannon and Carson were dancing here.
Cannon was sharing a chair with Cade.
Two little monkies!!
Sweet brothers, after dinner.
We came home and sang happy birthday and had brownies (his request!) and ice cream.
And blew out the candles.
Then, it was time to call it a day. Cade got tucked into Carson's bed (his favorite place to sleep these days!).
Cannon loves to get up here with these two as well.
Happy Birthday, Sweet Cade!! We love you!!

This and That

I have not had a free moment to update this, so I've got a bunch of random pictures. I think that we have finally hit the end of summer boredom and the boys are ready to go back to school.
First of all, we had to say goodbye to Koen on August 3rd...we were all sad to see them go. I am sure that all of these boys are going to look a lot different when they see each other again.
The big boys were playing out side the other day and pretending to camp. It was pretty funny...I don't know where they come up with this stuff sometimes.

They even made a cake out of mulch and decorated it with flowers (in honor of Cade upcoming birthday).
Cannon is still a stinker! He loves his bat and ball!!

And hanging out in places that he shouldn't.
Matt and I went to the George Strait concert with a bunch of our friends last weekend and had a great time! Aren't we cute?
Carson and Cade went to my company Astro's outing with the Louks and had a sleepover at Ryan's. They had a blast!! Yes, they all kind of look like dorks in the this picture, but that is all that we have!

Thanks to the Louk's for keeping them!!

Cade's 4th Birthday Party!

We celebrated Cade's 4th birthday over the weekend, even though his real birthday isn't for a few more days. He has been SO funny about this party. He has wanted to plan in down to the tiny details...he picked out his theme (Transformers), his cake, he stuffed the pinata, told me who to invite....you name it! He was so incredibly excited about this and he really wanted it here at the house. I personally do not get too fired up about kid parties at the house and thought that we were done with those, but apparently not!

Here he is stuffing his pinata, the day before the party.
Cannon sampling the suckers.
Carson and Cade being silly....Carson was pretty fired up for Cade's party too.

We were all so excited that Jill, Ryan and Koen got to come to the party!! They have never been able to come to any of the kids' parties, so this was so special to all of us!

Me and sister...could we be any shinier?

Katy and Ridge also came in on Friday night for the party. I am so sad that I don't have any pics of Ridge with the boys. If you have any, send them to me!! He went down for a nap right before the pinata and that is about when I started taking pictures. Anyway, Katy was a huge help with my boys that morning while I tried to get dressed and get ready for the party. HUGE thanks for that, lady!!

The kids all played on the waterslides and had lots of fun!
Some old friends and neighbors got to catch up!!

The three amigos...Love this picture!

And this one too!
Sillly boys!

Cade having fun!
Miss Marley being a stinker in her TOO ADORABLE swimsuit!

Then we did the pinata (which looked quite dangerous...luckily, there were no injuries!). Abby took a swing.

Cade took many swings...and had a very HARD time letting other kids hit his pinata!! Little stinker was crying over that!!

Morgan went to town on the pinata!

I think that they all enjoyed the candy!

Jay Banks with a sucker....he is so cute!

When it came time to sing happy birthday to Cade, he was just the SWEETEST!! He had the biggest smile on his face and was SO PROUD. I got tears in my eyes just watching him!! I love this little guy to pieces!!

Sweet brothers having some ice cream!

This one is too cute for words!

Cannon, Koen and Sloan...all cute little guys!Cannon and the hose...shocker.Cannon and the slip n slide stakes...he is obsessed with these things!!Cannon getting some love from Daddy.

Cade got so many awesome gifts! He has been in heaven all weekend. Here he is laying under his McQueen blanket with his McQueen pillow, watching his movie, DURING the party!! That didn't last for very long...

He was a great sport though and shared with all of his friends. Here, Uncle Ryan is showing Abby something.

Koen took a nap and came back for round two. We pulled out the slip n slide at this point and the kids loved it.

This one cracks me up!
We had an awesome time and thanks to all of you for making sweet Cade feel so loved and special!! It was EXACTLY what he wanted his birthday party to be like!!
