T-Ball Indians

WOW.  Another successful t-ball season out at Orwall.  Carson was on the Indians this past spring.  We had most of the same kids back from fall ball, which also meant that we had all of the great parents again  too.  I am really going to miss having all of the kids from the same elementary school on the same team!!  As the get older, you draft kids instead of getting them assigned to teams based on where they live.  Boo!!  Anyway, Carson did great and was an ALL STAR T-BALL PLAYER in my book!!  This was a really long season and playoff season, so I am being very brief and condensing this all into one post, since I am months behind here.

Here is a picture of my big man batting the ball!!

It goes....

And it finally stops....at the fence!!  We have a two base rule in t-ball....no homers.  :(
Making plays!

Running the bases.
After many stressful playoff games, the Indians went on to be the American League Champions!!!  Go boys!!  This was so exciting for all of us!  Check out the team under the score board.  Proud night!!  Do you see the stow away with Daddy in this picture?  He SO wanted to be a part of it!

We are number 1!!

My little champion!!
Cannon sat in Carson's lap while the awards were being passed out.  You get away with that when your Daddy is the coach!
After this, it was on to the World Series game.  We had to play the number 1 team in the National Division.  They were good, really good!!  We unfortunately didn't win that game.  Had we been on our "A" game, we could have done it, but it was just not our night, and that is okay!!  Here is Carson getting his monster trophy from Coach Daddy.

The parents came prepared.  This wasn't the first time that this group of boys made it all the way to the World Series game, only to have a heartbreaking loss.  So we had water balloons, cookies, cupcakes and silly string.  Oh, the chaos!!  It sure eased the heart break of the game!!

Notice, in the midst of the craziness, Cannon, just standing there in his lime green shirt, eating a cupcake!  This kid cracks me up.

Am I in your way?  Don't get my cupcake wet!
And one last t-ball picture of Carson and Jack!  Aren't they the cutest??   I SO hope that we get to team up with most of this group again in the Spring.

What a great end to the season and a great experience for these boys.  SO, it wasn't the Little League World Series, like Pearland just played in, but it sure felt like it!!

Misc. May

Here is an assortment of random pics from May.  I warned that these updates would be brief!!

Cannon is so stinkin' cute!  He's a toot, but he's adorable while he does it.

He is obsessed with balls...any and all kinds of balls.  He loves baseball, golf, football, soccer...you name it.  We are convinced that he's going to be the most athletic one....we'll see!!

He is so cute without even trying.  Here he is going to town on  some corn on the cob.

And more waterslide fun!!  The big boys are always up to something and trying to find ways to make it more dangerous.
They even take down the little guy on occasion.

The boys love to watch movies up in the gameroom!  We normally do this on Friday nights after going out to dinner and it is so exciting for them.  Carson and Cade almost always choose something Star Wars related.  Cannon usually starts out watching with them, gets in trouble, and has to go to bed.  It's hard being two.  Matt and I always laugh because Cade is the designated snack getter.  He always comes down about an hour into it and asks for snacks for him and Carson.  Since his is definitely the lazier of the two, I'm shocked that he actually does this, and fends for Carson as well!!  Some fun pics of movie night...

Oh, and the icecream fun.  The icecream truck comes by on Sunday evenings.  I don't know how, but no matter what they are doing, they can hear him coming!  They can't hear us yelling instructions at them, telling them to come eat dinner, pick up the toys or anything like that, but they can hear that truck from miles away!  You can see why I am not a huge fan...

End of the school year fun

Instead of having a kindergarten graduation, our school has an end of the year program.  It was ADORABLE!  The kids practiced their songs for weeks and put on a great show for the parents.  The theme was "Oh, the Places We'll Go" and each class wore a different colored t-shirt.  Carson had worked on his silly bands (the RAGE of the season) and organized them by color.

A group shot.

The baseball boys with Mrs. Swackhamer.

Carson and his best friend, Jack.  These two had quite the year together!!  Baseball spring and fall and lots of fun memories shared!!  We have really enjoyed getting to know Jack and his sweet family.  I bet that we'll be seeing a lot of each other over the years!!  Carson did a great job of choosing a best friend (on the first day of school, mind you!).
And a final pic with Mrs. Swackhammer.  LOVED HER.  I am praying that Cade gets lucky enough to have her as a teacher next year!!

Also, at the end of the year, they had field day.  They all got t-shirts for this too.  Carson was ready to go!

Holy smokes, it was hot out there.  Obviously, I am a rookie at elementary school parenting.  I volunteered to help out with field day.  The veteran moms all knew better (and laughed at me when I told them that I was volunteering!) and just came up, took pictures and left.  Now, I know!  I had a group of five.  Carson and Jack, and then three sweet girls.  One of the girls just happened to be Miss Ella, Carson's kindergarten girlfriend.  They were an item since the first day of school as well.  She is the one on the far right...must admit, she's pretty cute too!

And a few shots of the field day fun!!  Did I mention how hot it was?

What an awesome school year!!  I felt blessed that our transition into public school went so well.

Mother's Day and My Birthday Day

May, my favorite month!!  It's all about me!!  Well, not really, but a girl can dream, right?  For Mother's Day this year, we went and had lunch out on the lake in Conroe.  It was fun for all of us.  I love these three guys so stinkin' much and feel so blessed to be their mom!!  They are each so special in their own way and each have their own way of making me feel like a million bucks!

Hy handsome big guys...as usual, the two year old terror isn't cooperating.  Shocker.
My birthday is also in May.  At this point, I try not to draw attention to it.  I am getting old!!  For lunch, my four guys took me to lunch at Landry's on the lake.  Such a fun place!
Guess who wasn't behaving?  Oh, and he had a massive diaper blow out about half way through lunch a well.  Never a dull moment with this little guy!
My handsome big man.
And an action shot, what else?
That evening, we all headed over to mom and Larry's, along with the Blakes.  The blowing out of candles is such a debacle around here.  The boys all want a turn and try to beat each other to the blow out.

Look at all of the hands in this picture...cracks me up.  I am trying to block Carson, Cannon is trying to get in there and Cade is blowing.
Wasn't I just saying that it was all about me?  Not so much!  I wouldn't change it for anything!!
