Packing and other fun!

Well, guess what we have been doing? Packing, packing and more packing. Let me just say this and get it out of the way, moving sucks. Moving with three kids under 5 REALLY sucks. When your last weekend to pack starts off with a 3 year old puking all of the living room, an almost 9 month old with a bad fall and busted mouth, followed by him getting an awful stomach bug is downright AWFUL. Luckily, Cade's bug only lasted about 12 hours. Poor Cannon though! Oh my, this baby is miserable. He hasn't kept anything significant down since Friday, he's running a fever and has puked and pooped on me more times than I can count. I just feel awful for him. Not to mention, I can't set him down for more than a second and we kind of have a lot to do around here! GOOD TIMES.

The boys seem pretty okay with the whole move, amazingly. They are more interested in playing in the boxes than just about anything else. Here are all three in a box.

Carson and Cade are packed and ready to go! I wonder how long it took for Poppy to rig these up? He told Cade that he could sleep in it tonight. I plan to call Poppy when Cade is demanding the box at bedtime!
In other fun news, we have had our very own Elf delivered from the North Pole to keep an eye on the boys and watch for Errant behavior (NOT that we ever have any of that!). He flies back to see Santa each night and gives a report. In the morning, he is in a new spot and the boys can't wait to find him! This morning, he was in the half bath up on a shelf. It's such a disaster in here, it's getting pretty hard to find him!Even more exciting, we got snow! This of course happened on the one night of the year that I traveled for work!! I missed it, but I had a great evening with Jennifer in Sofie in Austin. Matt was home sick that day (YES, he was the originator of the stomach bug from hell) and then the snow hit that afternoon.

Here are some pictures that Matt took of the boys in the big snow storm! Okay, so it was only a couple of inches, but that is HUGE for us!

He didn't bother to wipe the pizza off of their faces.Or put on shoes, apparently! Flip flops in snow?? Again, reminder, I was in Austin.Carson and Nilza in the snow. Matt got Nilza to spend the night and help him when I was in Austin. He said that he really felt awful!Eagle Heights also had their big Christmas program last week. Carson was asked to be a shepherd and took his role very seriously. Cade's class was to sing a few carols.

Carson looking handsome before putting on his shepherd costume.Cade and I and one of just Cade before the show. BTW, I just LOVE this sweater outfit from Janie and Jack! Carson wore it to his first Lunch with Santa at the Junior League.

Cade having a meltdown. Yes, he was the only kid in all of Pre-K3 up there crying for his Mommy! I had to go get him. He freaked! We went out to dinner afterwards and everyone recognized him. He got quite a fanfare on the way in to school the next day too. He's a star, for sure, that one!

Well, say a little prayer that Carson and I are spared from the stomach bug and that our sanity stays somewhat in check over the next week. We have to be out of the house by the end of next weekend. We have a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time, not to mention, getting ready for Christmas, which we are totally unprepared for!! Should be a hectic two weeks to come!!
