On Monday, they had "Crazy Hat" day. Well, since we don't have any crazy hats, I told them that they could wear their cowboy hats to school, which they were thrilled about. However, Carson wasn't wearing the hat without the boots...you know how that boy has to match! So, needless to say, if Carson was wearing them, Cade was wearing them. Cannon was even in his cowboy hat before we got out the door. Samey, samey....no picture of this!
Tuesday was backwards day. Cade thought this was the best idea EVER and was thrilled to wear his shirt backwards! Carson on the other hand was having no part of that. He went to school in uniform, facing the correct direction.
Wednesday was house slipper day. Again, Cade was thrilled with this. They both have these slippers in which one in McQueen and one is Mater. Cade has always loved them...Carson has always argued that they don't match (I tend to agree with him, but they are still cute, and I "get it"). So, Cade wore house shoes, Carson carried them in his bag, but wore his regular tennis shoes.
Thursday was dress up day for the Thanksgiving Feast. They were both okay with this, Carson especially because it meant that he could wear a belt. OMG, that boy loves his belts!
Here is Carson posing by the tree...
And Cade doing whatever it is that Cade does...notice the shirt already untucked and we haven't even gotten into the car.
Then, trying to get a picture of both, but you will see that Carson is pinching Cade because he isn't acting appropriately.
Anyway, both boys were thrilled with Thursday because Daddy joined them at school for the feast! Big fun!
Friday, they were to wear red and blue. Well, they had worn their red uniform shirts on Wed. to match the McQueen slippers, so I put them in long sleeved red or blue t-shirts with a cute pull over and called it a day. Quite frankly, I was over theme week! Anyway, Carson actually told his teacher, "My mom just doesn't care anymore...she sent me in play clothes!". OMG. Wanted to die...the t-shirt was brand new, never worn and the pull over was quite nice. To top it off, they were dressing up like pilgrims and indians anyway! Oh, and Carson also got up Friday morning and wanted to be called "Standing Bear"...that was his Indian name. I went up for their parties and they both had a great time.
Here is Cade in his Indian get up.
And Carson, I mean, "Standing Bear". Standing Bear and his BFF, Austin...Carson's entire class.Carson's class got together with another Pre-K4 class to sing songs. My Standing Bear just stood there and stared at them. I asked his teacher if he always did that, and she said, "yes, he is just not into the singing bit!". She said that he is a leader and a great student, etc., but he just refuses to act and sing. He is getting quite shy, or just too mature one! He's turning 5, not 15!!
