Cannon's 2nd Birthday!!

Oh my!!  How is this little stinker already two years old?

It is so hard to believe that he is actually two!  Now, he acts like a full on two year old, and if you have spent any time with him, you know that!  We had a very low key celebration for his big day...I know, that is SO unlike me to not do a big kid party.  Have I mentioned that things are crazy?  The more that I thought about it, Cannon didn't care and he didn't "get it" yet.  I would be doing this big party to entertain the older kids and it wouldn't be even remotely geared towards him.  So, we just invited over family and the Louks and Blakes (which are both family to us anyway!).  We just had lunch and played outside.  Here is Cade with the girls.
Cannon LOVE's Mr. Jason!  In fact, all of our boys have been quite fond of Jason...

Abby had fun in this little car....that has been around since Carson was about 1!  Matt will be thrilled as our boys outgrow some of these ride on toys that take up our entire garage.
We had cupcakes and sang happy birthday to the smiling boy, of course!
Cade being his usual, adorable self.
Ms. Trish always plays with Cannon and he loves her too!
And of course, he opened presents!!
And helped Daddy...
And this might have been his fave!
And this is the only picture that I have with Carson and Ryan in it....they are way too busy for my photography lately!
Cannon had a great birthday!!  He is now busy proving how "terrible" he can really be as a two year old.  His latest conquests include coloring on walls, throwing things downstairs over the balcony, removing his pants and diaper and peeing on the floor, lots of tantrums, putting things in the toilet and many, many more cool tricks!!  He IS quite adorable and loveable too though, so I guess that we'll keep him!!

Rodeo 2010

I'm not going to lie...I am so far behind on this blog that even starting to update it seems totally overwhelming!!  Not to mention, the formatting has changed and I can't seem to work the new one.  Fellow bloggers, please help if you know what my problem is!  I can't upload pics from my own computer with the new layout and if I use the old ones, I can't move them around.  We have been CRAZY busy...it seems that I say that a lot lately.  I don't see life slowing down at any point soon, so I am just trying to embrace it and stay sane!!

First off!!  RODEO!!  This used to be such a fun deal to me, but I have to admit, this year, just making it out there was not all that appealing.  I think that the combination of living so far out now, junior league, busy season with work, Carson being in "real" school now and baseball season for Carson, topped off with the rodeo madness (and Matt's volunteer schedule out at the rodeo...) was a bit much at one time.  Matt and I weren't even able to make it out to one show together.  We did manage to make it out to the carnival with the boys one day.  Angie and the girls were able to join us too, along with Trish and Ryan.  We had fun!!  This big slide is always a huge hit.

And the roller coasters were huge this year!  Look at these faces.

The big kids enjoyed going, up on this thing!
And Cade was a cutie, patootie, as always...
Cannon enjoyed this new kids area that they had this year.  Luckily, he opted to stayin his stroller for much of the carnival trip this year.  He wasn't quite big enough to do the rides yet.
My camera battery died, so that's the end of the photos, but we did check out the animals and tractors and ride a few other things.  Then, we finished the day off at Lupe Tortilla (pics, thanks to Trish)!  What parent doesn't need a margarita after all of that?  Oh, and some ice cream for the kiddos....
Okay, I promise to keep attempting to update...not tonight though!  This computer illiterate mom just spent over an hour on this and it is all messed up.  Ugh.

Kindergarten Rodeo

Deretchin has a Kindergarten Rodeo each year and it was pretty cute!  Carson got decked out in his cowboy gear.  He is one handsome cowboy!

They brought home a note saying that they would need a stick horse and they encouraged them to make their own.  Well, I googled it, and Larry found a pretty good one online for us.  Carson and I loaded up, went to the Dollar General to look for some supplies, and guess what we found?  A perfectly good stick horse for $4.99!  AND, it made galloping noises!  Carson wasn't into making one and quite honestly, I didn't want to do it either.  SO, we brought this guy home.  He worked out perfectly!

The kids all paraded out of the school witlh their stick horses and then had all sorts of activities.  I had the little guys with me, and it was past nap time, so I was struggling to get good pictures and keep up with those two!  I got there just in time for the chuck wagon races.  Carson was clearly in the lead here!

Serious competition!
And coming up on the finish line!
A class picture with his teacher, Mrs. Swackhamer.  Love her!
Then they had stick horse races.
They lasso'd a rocking horse with a hula hoop.
The last stop was getting to pet a real horse.  However, Cannon was falling apart, so we had to duck out of there.  The other moms were helping me with him, but he was getting to be too much!  All in all, a fun afternoon though.  I love that Carson goes to such a great school and has such a great teacher!!  We have lucked out this year with the friends in his class as well.  It has been a great first year in the public school system.

Another Snow Day!

Seriously, we had another snow fall here in The Woodlands!  Again, it wasn't anything major, and it didn't stick, but it was still pretty and fun while it lasted.  Cannon was quite excited!
Checking it out!
Cade all bundled up (with chili on his face!).
Two of the boys bundled up.
Having fun!
Carson in the snow!
It didn't last long and thankfully it isn't a regular occurance here.  Putting on boots, hats, coats, gloves on three boys, just to turn around and take it all back off is way too much work.  Our entry hall was full of wet gear!  That part was not fun!

Misc. February

Cannon and Cade finally got haircuts.  I always love their hair when it gets a little long, but this past time, it was a little too long!  I had let Cade's grow out over his ears, but broke down and cut it off.  He looked like a hippy!  This little man looks way too old now with his big boy cut!  I sure love those blue eyes too!

Carson has started up with Spring Ball.  They are the Indian's this year and are off to a great start.  I get a sitter for Cannon as much as possible during these games.  I love to watch them, but when I have him with me, I just run around and chase him.  Luckily, or neighbor that lives a couple of door down really likes watching him and is newly into babysitting.  This is working out well for both of us!  Aunt Jen got to come down and see this first game too, so Carson was pretty fired up about that.  Here is a pic of our favorite t-ball play with his Mom and Dad.
And Carson with Coach Daddy. Matt is so patient with the boys and does a great job with them.

And the super-star player, #8!

Parker and Patrick came to visit.  Patrick and Cannon are only four days apart.  Those two fought the entire time.  It was actually quite funny!  A cute picture of Patrick.
And a picture of all of the kids playing Wii one night.  I am really amazed that they are all as good as they are at this!  They are much better than me!

Valentine's Day

I am one lucky lady!  I have four boys to share Valentine's Day with!!  What more could a girl ask for?  Maybe a picture of my three little guys....nope, too much to wish for!  I spent a very large amount of time trying to accomplish that, no luck!  This is as good as it got!

Then, here I am with the big boys.  Not a great picture of any of us, but I'll take it!  You'll notice, the youngest toot is missing.

He was off to the side, ringing the doorbell and refusing to be a part of the pictures!

We had a low-key day at home and the Louk's came over to join us.   Paw-paw and Nana came by that evening with gifts, so the boys were really excited about that!!  All in all, a perfect holiday!

Fun with Lollipops!

Mindy gave these as party favors at Emerson's birthday. Totally cute and the kids loved them!!

I love this picture of Cannon!
And my handsome Carson.

All three boys...so impossible to get a good picture of all three.

It was a gorgeous day and the boys had a blast!
